  • Contact Information: Email address, phone number, and physical mailing address.
  • Sensitive Information: The last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) for identity verification.
  • Financial Data: Hourly wage rates and labor burden percentages.
  • Employment Details: Job position, role, subcontractor status, and overtime rules.
  • Activity Data: Precise logs of "punch-in" and "punch-out" times and total hours worked.

2How We Use Your Information

The data collected is used strictly for internal business operations, including:

  • Generating accurate timecards for payroll processing.
  • Project-based labor costing and financial underwriting.
  • Internal performance analytics and workforce management.

3Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

  • Hosting: Your data is stored securely using DigitalOcean’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Encryption: Sensitive data, including wage rates and SSN fragments, is encrypted at rest within our database.
  • Access Control: Access to sensitive financial and personal data is restricted to authorized Administrators and Super Admins.

4Data Sharing

  • Third-Party Services: We do not currently share your personal or payroll data with any third-party services or external vendors.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law to comply with federal or state labor audits.

5Data Retention

While Precise Clock serves as a data collection tool, your official payroll records are maintained in a separate primary payroll system.

  • Retention Period: In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state laws in Indiana and Ohio, records used for wage computations are generally retained for a minimum of three years.
  • Deletion: Personal data may be purged from the app once it is no longer required for legal or business record-keeping purposes.

6Your Rights & Controls

  • Right of Access: You have the right to view your profile and timecard history within the app.
  • Right to Rectification: If you believe a time entry or personal detail is incorrect, you must request a change through your manager. All corrections must be verified and approved to maintain the integrity of our records.

7Changes to This Policy

As Precise Clock evolves (such as adding GPS features), we will update this policy. We will notify you of any significant changes via the app or your registered email.
